Can see any doctor accepting Medicare payments maintaining freedom of choice with no primary care physician or need for referrals.
New plan introduced in 2003 on a 3-year trial basis with full rights to return to other plans if it shouldn't continue.
Uses copayments for services to keep premiums affordable while still maintaining freedom to choose.
Uses a preferred provider network of physicians, services, and facilities for lower copayments when using network members.
Emergency and urgently needed care when traveling outside the U.S.
