High Deductible Medicare Supplement

Medicare Supplement Plans F and J are available in a high-deductible option.
The deductible for 2008 is $1,900.
Designed to save you money if you stay healthy, and to keep the cost of insurance affordable while still protecting you against unexpected major expenses.
The high deductible plans pay the same or offer the same benefits as the similarly lettered supplement after one has paid the deductible (Example: Plan F and High Deductible Plan F).
Medicare pays as it would with any supplement.
You pay what Medicare doesn’t pay each year until your out-of-pocket expenses (total of your payments) equals the deductible.
The Medicare Supplement then begins to pay according to its normal schedule of benefits.
